Employees, volunteers and trustees of a newly merged charity came together yesterday on the side of Coombe Hill near Wendover to stage a novel stunt to draw attention to one of their most popular fundraising events and their recent merger.

More than 30 people from Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care made the trip to the Coombe Hill monument where they donned white Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge T-shirts and arranged themselves in the shape of the charity’Äôs initials "IRGH" on the side of the hill. The stunt was the idea of Fundraiser Kerri Coote who is one of the main organisers of the charity's popular fundraising event, the Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge. Kerri said:
"Our Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge follows the last 18 miles of the oldest road in Britain, the Ridgeway, and along the route there is already a chalk figure at Whiteleaf Cross with others scattered through the Chilterns. I thought it would be fantastic if we could make our very own temporary chalk figure to draw attention to the beauty of the route followed by our 3 Peaks Challenge. It was also a perfect way to draw public attention to our new name Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care. So we asked people from across the organisation to join us at Coombe Hill — and we were really pleased with the result."
